We had a trip today

Today we went away again with the minibus for a new trip. First stop were close to spissky hrad but we did not stay for long, took som pics at the church and the castle=hrad.
The journey continued to a town called Levoca. The citys fortifications and other buildings such as the gothic church which btw is the second biggest in slovakia are all in UNESCO. The city had an impressive history, an anecdote, the old gothic church had help of a swedish constructer who built the amazing organ. The organ is from the 1700 century.
Our last stop was high tatras, the slovakian mountains. First attraction, Strebske Pleso! This is a beautiful lake at the mountains but all of this is much similar to the swedish nature. Last one was hriebnok, I do not know if it is the right spelling but it was up in the mountains where we looked at a small waterfall.
I had a great time and will upload pics as soon as possible! Tomorrow Katkas sister and husband with kids will come for two nights visit:) Iam looking forward but first school, bed is calling! good night/Dobre noc/God natt!

This is more slovak!

I have organized the notes from the Eilc classes. This is what Iam supposed to now by now! the diacritics is missing but still, have a nice look!

Vylety - Trip to bardejov and Tommy Salo

I spend a great day yesterday with my EILC class. I got picked up at the bus station in Presov with a mini bus and then we drove to a area which is known for their special wooden churhes. It was nice to have a look at one and then we went to the main attraction, Bardejov.

When I entered the main square as a pedistrian it was like walking into a postcard, I felt blown away by the buildings and the Bazilika. The whole city belongs to world heritage list. The whole day was full of cultural activities and when we were heading back I decided to follow my class back to Kosice.

I had a chance to see the dorm where I also slept. It was very nice of the guys to let me sleep there because the connections between Kosice and Presov is quite bad in weekends, last train goes at 23:10. So this meant I had the opportunity to enjoy the nightlife in Kosice, we went to three bars.

A funny thing was that when me and Martin came back in the night to the dorm, he had forgot the key for the entrance to the dorm. We climbed over a high fence and knock at the girls windows to wake them up so they could open the main entrance door for us. The portugise girl woke and open the window with a scared look on her face. She first thought it was a burglar but when she saw us it all went fine and she opened up the entrance door so we could sleep inside. First I was happy to sleep inside, second, Iam happy I did not kill myself getting over that fence when I was drunk in the middle of the night, third everything went well so Iam not complaining, I had a blast.

Here is some pics from yesterday morning til the meeting with Tommy Salo and the night

First stop: A wooden church made without nails.

The beutiful city of Bardejov. The Bazilika is 76m high. The
market in front of the bazilika has been going on once a year,
every year for 658 years.

The rain came out of nowhere and it just poured down. Horrible
weather but of course, we kept the mood up.

Another stop for a look at more wooden churches.

But this one I found impressive

In the evening we drank beers.

I had a great time

The window to a communistbar. Ashame it was closed though.

We had fun at Madrid club instead and the floor is covered by
sand. Great feeling sitting with bare feet, drinkin.

The mysterious meeting with Tommy Salo. I found it nice, a
poster of him in the dorm.

Martin and Sandors room in the dorm. On the floor there,
I spent the night.

The show must go on even if I have a bloody hangover. I will invite Katkas mum
and sister for dinner today. It is going to be awesome.

A trip to Kalvaria

I found some pics from last friday when me and Katka went to Kalvaria, a church located on a hill. The location makes it also a nice view over Presov. So we decided to take a walk and get up there!
For your notice, what I heared is that often couples walk up there to find a spot for sex but we did not, it was people around so we kissed with each other instead;) The time we spent there was still a real pleasure with a enjoying view of the city and the church. It was beautiful!

On the way to Kalvaria

Conversation skills in the market

We had an intresting class the other day. We went to a market where u can buy delicious vegetables and berries. We learned the names and had the chance to see the great choice. It was a creative nice way of improving slovak! By the way, the slovak name for market is TRH, lot's of consonants huh? not really the easiest word to pronounce...

The woman in the middle, the teacher Angela and some of my classmates
some classmates

Slovak women in traditional folk costumes selling berries.

The battle of Slovakia. Yesterday we went for icehockey!

We had a great lunch before the action!

The Icehockey game! Kosice in blue dresses, Bratislava in white dresses.
Nr 67 on the back is swedish and if u look carefully u can also see HÖGLUND

In the break, between the periods, a beer was neccesary! The guy Iam
drinking with is Martin, a german from my class.

This is Slovak!

First day as a Erasmus-student

ohh, I woke up sleepy at 6 am in the morning feeling quite anxious about the first day. When I was finished with breakfeast and taking a shower and stuff, Katka walked me to the bustop. We said good bye and then my journey began...

8.30 it was registration time where I had to sign a paper and I also got a welcome package. We were 13 people in the class for the EILC learning slovak language. The nationalties are Poland, Lithuania, France, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Portugal and a swede you know. We had to introduce each other for the class and then the course started. Afterwards we went to a restaurant for a welcome lunch. The rektor of the university was present welcoming us to Kosice and then we ate. It was nice talking some, getting to know each other. When the lunch ended me and three other boys went for a beer. Overall the day went fast and now Iam a little tired so Iam looking forward to the bed.

Bye bye

Tomorrow, first day in school

Iam gettin a bit nervous thinking a about tomorrow but I think it will go great. I will write about the whole day tomorrow when I come home. Wish me good night and good luck tomorrow

bye bye

Our new Apartment

The days have passed away so quickley since I last wrote in my blog. Me and Katka have had fully schedules taking care, cleaning, unpacking and funituring our new apartment that I have not felt like writing anything til now.

I have to say it is a real pleasure to move in to this flat, we are both very satisfied. The things that have been happening this week has been mostly about the apartment as I wrote earlier but the big grocery shoping was a killer. We spent more or less 2 hours buying food and it almost broke me. It was also this 3 min of jazz music going on and on all the time too but finally we reach the registers and could get out of the foodstore. This was my all-time personal record spent in one foodstore and it is also probably the biggest foodstore I have ever been to. After all we got everything we needed and  for the next time we have a better perspective where everything is located.

Yesterday we had a nice walk in Presov through the center, bought a ice-cream, looking at people siting outside having a beer still enjoying the summer. Presov is really a city full of people and energy during the evenings. I like it. We will take more walks and maybe sit down in the park in the center sometimes or have a beer. Iam looking forward for the next time it will happen:)

The neighbour we met yesterday living on the same floor is a big talker. She is a lady somewhere over 70 and we met her first in the staircase. She was nice in the beginning but when she began showin us pictures of her great grandchildren it started to feel weired. Then she continued talkin and she invited us to her flat. So we had the chance to see her apartment and she kept on talking for maybe 10 minutes and further on she followed us out and kept on talking while I was unlocking the door to our apartment. This was never-ending talkin, really no breaks, no sign of a stop so it was such a relief to get in to the silence. So today we were very, very quiet when we entered the staircase in hope to not meet her before entering our place.

Today we went to a big big shopping center. We had a long look and the choice was enormous. We looked at some clothes but in the end I felt good with buying a book that seems to be awesome.

For now we takin it easy and will doing so!

Packing the last stuff!

Today we are moving in to our apartment and it feels really goody. First we actually went up early and took the bus to the Ukraine to buy some nice stronger alcohol and I also found great shot glases and wineglases aswell:) So now we are doing the last stuff of the packing! We are close now, very close to move in...ojojoj!

Btw. two bottles of vodka I paid 3,50euro for. good price isn't it? Ukraineprices= for free in swedish eyes

Getting better

Yesterday I started feeling better and today too so maybe tomorrow Iam healthy. The good things with being ill is the timing with Premier League startin this weekend:) Yesterday I watched Chelsea - Hull, Blackburn - Manchester City and ended the day with Everton - Arsenal! I was happy:)

Today the schedule is fully booked too, that is wonderful! 12:30 Psv-Ajax, 14:30 Man U-Birmingham 17:00 Tottenham-Liverpool and then watch some athletics. 21:35 is the 100 m final for men:)

Have a good sunday sports day!

I want my health back

The reason I have not written anything in my blog the last couple of days is because I have been busy sneezing, blowing my nose and feeling smashed by high fever. Iam litteraly not in a good shape which have had lead to much sleep and Iam still in need of it.

I hope I feel better til Sunday because that is the last day staying at Katkas parentes. Then I would like to invite them all for dinner in a way to show my gratitudes for being here.
Iam keeping my fingers crossed during all this mess of fever and throatache that I will feel better otherwise I will be pissed.

Fever

Will go to sleep now...I have got a fever!

My Flighttickets are paid!

I bought my flighttickets for christmas today. The plane goes from Budapest the 21 of december to Gothenburg and the return ticket departures the fouth of januar. It feels good to have it paid and finished. One great thing with traveling with plane is the comfortability just with the passport and a conformationcode to get the boardingcard. Maybe this have existed for a long time but still it is making it very easy to travel!

Other good news is that we have set a final date of moving in to our flat, the 17th of august. Iam really looking forward too it now, getting my own or almost. Me, katka and Silvia will live there.
For showing my appreciation for staying at Katkas parents, I asked them out for inviting them to dinner and they loved it as to the fact that I am showing how thankful Iam and doing something to express my gratitudes for being here.

Another great thing happen today. I had my second footmassage, it is breath-taking having that massage. The Massage guy told my tension had passed and I feel more loosen up. That was great, however  my stomachproblems continues and that is also true. So I shall try to not eating so much that getting stuffed and that is not easy but I will make it a try! He also said I had an headache recently and I told him I was out in friday celebrating my birthday which lead to a hangover. He just laughed a little and said that that is why I can feel u had the headache and maybe it also made u loosen up from the alcohol since I cannot feel any tension in your body this week.
I think Iam getting more used to living here and that also makes my body adjust. I feel very relax now by my new surroundings, almost like home!

My birthday!

Since it was my birtday yesterday I did not write anything so I will update today. Yesterday was great, I got really nice presents so I could feel spoiled.
Me and Katka slept over at Hela and Slavos place because we went out in friday so we woke up at them yesterday and I was quite exhausted. We were out for a long time partying and I got to sleep at 4 o'clock and woke up at 10 o'clock. But it was a nice time out and when the clock turned twelve we cheered for my birthday, it was wonderful.
I started my birthday with a nice, healthy breakfeast too get some focus and energy. Then we went to Katkas family and sat down in the living room spending time, celebrating, cheering, laughing, it was blast! After the family get together me and Katka had some time for ourselves which made me suprised. Katka went in the room singing with a cake and a bottle of rosewine, I was really happy:) She gave me her present, a dvd she made herselves with pictures telling our story since we first met. It was such a original awesome gift, I almost cried watching it together with my Katka drinkin the rosewine and havin the cake.
The whole birthday was perfect yesterday which actually continued today with some birthdaysandwiches that I supposed to get yesterday but then we slept at Helas place. So my belly is happy after that delicious start of the day!

Mr Cook

The Korv Stroganoff was liked by everybody. It was a relief. So now Iam preparing for the night out, we are going to party! At 12 o'clock we will take shots for my birthday! I cannot wait:)

I had pizza!

very lazy day today! Highlight of the day: Katkas mum did homemade pizza for lunch. That was yummy!
Yesterday we went to watch a footballgame. When we entered I saw something glourious, a beerwagon! So we had two beers watching the game and it also made it easier to enjoy the match because the quality of the game was not so high.

I would say I rather not write when nothing is happening so I will make todays writing short.

Tomorrow I will cook a swedish meal for Katkas family. I hope I can figure something out because this starting to be a tough promise to hold. Despite my anxious state though, I will go through with this and tackle my fear and do some cooking, wish me good luck, I am going to need it!

Football game

If it is not raining too much we are going for a footballgame and then out.

yes, me and Katka have been together for 8 months today!
